Lowe Custom Guitars takes its inspiration from the custom car movement and hot rod culture that has grown in popularity since the 1950’s. Our instruments include a number of design elements and features that set them apart from other builder’s custom shop instruments. Our trademark “forearm facet” is a distinctive approach to the comfort contour seen on many guitars’ lower bouts. It provides a look and feel that is unique to our line of instruments.
All of our instruments have bolt-on necks with industry-standard neck pockets and threaded steel inserts. We use oversized pickup routs with custom-fitted pickup rings, and employ modular, plug-and-play electronics. As a result, it’s possible for the player to customize their Lowe Custom Guitars instrument without needing specialized tools or technical experience to do so.
Electronic harnesses include gold-plated MIL SPEC pins and sockets that allow them to be removed and replaced by the player using only a small Phillips screwdriver. This makes modding, servicing and warranty repairs easy and predictable. Front binding is available at on all instruments, as is two-tone paint.
In addition to complete builds, we have offer a line of 32″ scale conversion bass guitar necks, enabling us to offer an ergonomic solution to the bass player who needs a more comfortable neck. We also offer 8-string and 10-string bass bridges (Patent Pending), assorted hardware, and exclusive necks from Allparts.
